CreativesAtWork Year in Review

We surpassed our revenue growth by more than 30%, completed 400 plus projects, engaged with more than 1,000 freelancers, organized closed to 11 face-to-face events post pandemics, and launched Freelancer Nation [“FN”] to help grow and scale our freelancers community…… all in 2023! FN is an exclusive incubator for super freelancers from the region. CreativesAtWork’s vision is to work with high-caliber freelancers and bring them to the next level by providing funding, training, and administrative support services.

Plus, we set up our first overseas office in the US, bringing more opportunity for our freelancers as well as to showcase their talents to an international audience. And we regularly profiled inspiring stories around our freelance community about how they’re building their solo businesses, caught up with talented creatives for our podcast and YouTube channel, and published our own survey study on our freelancers. We are amazed by some of the findings too.

We were also busy collating new trends and sharing it with our community. Our blogs regularly brought tips and advice from AI: Productivity Tools or Threat to the Marketing Profession? to Master Side Hustles to Efficiently Trade Time for Alternative Income to The CreativesAtWork Response to Common Client Complaints. All with the hope of getting the community to learn from one another.

Our Team is busy forging partnerships and spreading the words of our great freelancers at the annual Asia TV Forum in Singapore. And we hosted our first in-person AI and Web 3 conference for the freelance community in Singapore in November 2023! Talking about the partnership, CreativesAtWork, a freelancer-led creative agency, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Singapore-based financial solutions provider  Lyte. This collaboration is set to empower freelancers to excel in their creative pursuits while securing their financial futures. Under this collaboration, freelancers affiliated with CreativesAtWork can leverage LytePay, Lyte's all-in-one financial management platform tailored for freelancers. Put simply, freelancers can spend less time on administrative submissions and grow their income with up to 6% cash rewards.

Three themes stood out, as we work alongside our freelancers and clients: the struggle and scramble of a freelance career in an era of technology evolution, the rise of AI, and the uncertain market conditions and challenging rising cost of living.

We believe in our freelancers' resilience and adaptability. 2024 will be a year where we see the transformation of freelancers – solopreneurs – own account workers – self-employed persons whatever you call it. Our freelancers will leverage on GenAI toolings to help them to multi-task and inject more creativity into their work. They will be successful without a big team. And collaboration and partnership will still be the central themes for all freelancers. FN will help to better define the processes and re-mapped the new workflow with the help of AI.
